A museum of keeping relics record of the history, the pottery museum demonstrated the important role of Hoi An in trading ceramics and show vibrant economic and cultural exchange. It was constructed as a motif of the traditional Vietnamese architectural style with two buildings: a courtyard and an anteroom. The museum is made up of 430 ceramic artifacts that were picked up from Middle-East, India, China, Japan and Thailand during the 8th to 18th centuries.
Others were found in the excavations such as the pottery of the Chinese Tang Dynasty (7th-10th centuries)… Tourists will get a glimpse of the history of the port town and be immersed in fascinating collections of the different types of pottery when visiting The Pottery Museum. Today, the building is open daily to the public between 8:00 to 17:00.
