Day 1: Hanoi arrival – Water Puppet Show (D)
Arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, we will be welcomed by our friendly local guide and transferred to our hotel. Before dinner in a nice local restaurant, we will have a ticket to enjoy Water Puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi Motorbike Tour & Street Food (B, L, D)
After breakfast, our guide with Motorbike drivers will arrive at our hotel to take us to discover Hanoi and its surrounding in the back of a motorbike. The first ride is the Grand Theatre for an outside visit and photo shots. After that, we ride to Bat Trang Ceramic Village crossing Long Bien Bridge, a historic cantilever bridge across the Red River. We will ride through the village’s small alleys to the ancient communal house as well as stops at some workshop to see skilful workers making pottery and ceramic products.
Back to the city centre via another bridge, Chuong Duong Bridge, we start our ‘eating adventure’ with some delicious food like: Grill pork with noodle, pillow cake, oil-fried pastry, tofu, egg coffee…We then ride through the Old Quarters and stop at Bach Ma Temple, Ancient House. Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Mai Chau (B, L, D)
Today, we will take 160 Km drive (3.5 hours) to Mai Chau, a beautiful valley set in picturesque karst formations and rice paddies. On arrival, we check in a house-on-stilt of a Thai family in Pom Coong Village and have lunch. In the afternoon, we will cycle uphill and downhill to many villages dot the hillsides, stop for photo shots or talk with friendly local people. After 3 hours cycling, we will be back to the stilt-house, relax with a cool beer before having dinner. Enjoy a performance dance followed by local rice liquor (ruou can) and spend the night in Pom Coong Village.
Day 4: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B, L)
Get up early in the morning wander around the villages’ road, seeing local people on their daily life. Breakfast in the homestay before starting a light trek through Mai Chau Valley to Mo Luong (Soldier) Cave, continue to walking to Salinh Village – home to H’mong Ethnic people and have lunch with the family. In the mid-afternoon, we will return to Hanoi for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Hanoi Departure (B)
Free time at leisure until our car arrives to take us to the airport for departure flight. Tour ends.
