Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival (D)
Welcome on arrival by our guide and driver, we then drive to the city center and check-in our hotel. We then have free time to wander around the hustle and bustle streets before enjoying a Water Puppet show in Golden Theatre. After a candlelit dinner in a nice restaurant, we will go back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels & Ho Chi Minh City Tour (B, L, D)
This morning, we drive to Cu Chi Tunnels and explore the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. We will also see the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers.
We then return to the city for lunch. After lunch, we visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office, the two sites that we can ignore when we visit the city. The rest of the day will be free for shopping at the lively Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (My Tho) – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D)
Today, we will drive to the Mekong Delta and take the boat ride on small canals to visit some local cottage industries, fruit orchards, a coconut candy workshop, a honeybee farm, take a sampan ride on palm-shaded creeks, try a taste of seasonal fruit, honey tea, and enjoy a performance of traditional Southern singing. Later in the day, we return to Ho Chi Minh City for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City – Free for Shopping – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D)
This day will be free for shopping at several markets like Ben Thanh Market, Binh Tay market, or shopping malls. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City departure (B)
Free time until our car arrives to take us to the airport for departure flight. Tour ends.
