At 8 AM, our guide will arrive at the hotel and we drive to Ninh Binh province, which is 110 KM away from Hanoi. On arrival, we will visit Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel where our guide will explain the history and significance of the temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le. We will wander around the temple surrounded by lush garden, rice fields and picturesque limestone mountain before get back to our car and transfer to a local restaurant for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will take 2-hour boat rowing along the Ngo Dong River, passing through deepwater rice to see Tam Coc (Three Caves). Our pleasant rowing takes us to scenic landscape set in Karst limestone, that’s why Tam Coc is called ‘Halong Bay in land’.
Our boat can contain 2 – 3 people and skillfully managed by a local people, normally woman, most of them are from Van Lam, the nearby famous embroidery village, no surprise if they try to offer you to buy some embroidery pillow cases or table cloths. Take it easy if you want to buy and try your bargain skill with a smile, everything will work well! In the mid-afternoon, we will return to Hanoi and arrive at around 6 PM at our hotel. Trip ends.
